It is one of the most colorful, joyful regions of Colombia with nice beaches, a great culinary diversity and a place full of historic cities. Its people, its beaches, its colors, its flavors, its festivals and its music, they are making this place one of the most worth visiting tourist destinations in all of Colombia.
The most representative capitals of this region are Barranquilla, Cartagena de Indias, Montería and Santa Marta. You've probably heard about these places especially known for Tayrona Park near Santa Marta, the famous Carnival of Barranquilla and the most romantic city in America, Cartagena. Due to its colonial streets, its striking colors and the amazing sunsets that turn Cartagena into a beautiful postcard. Every corner that you will discover, will make you fall in love with the city.
Another attraction in this region is the wide variety of beaches it has to offer. It's unique for its crystal clear water, white sand and stunning landscapes. If you love beaches and you are planning to visit the Colombian Coast don't forget to go Bahia Concha, Palomino and the beaches of Reserva Sanguaré where you can enjoy the sun, the ocean breeze, and the warm weather.
