Our Schedule

Plan to arrive on Sunday, April 14 to make sure you’re ready for our first event.

Monday, April 15

A day trip to Lake Como, starting with a visit to the Mantero silk mill—where we will meet with the design and management teams, view the archives, and discover the company’s innovations in fiber development and printing technologies. The visit finishes with a stop at the company’s on-site boutique.

This will be followed by an exclusive guided boat tour of Lake Como, complete with a light lunch on board, “drive-bys” of famous locations, and stops to explore some villas, gardens, and towns. We finish with dinner at a lake-side restaurant before heading back to Milan.

Departure: 9:15am
Returning to hotel after 9:00pm.

Note: Dressing for the day:
It will be cool and breezy on the water. Wandering Bellagio and Tremezzo requires comfortable, non-slip shoes, then dinner dress code at Villa d’Este include jackets for men. So bring extra layers as needed!

The day starts at Mantero
with a tour of the company’s
archives, design studios,
and production facilities.

We’ll tour the west fork of Lake Como in a private luxury boat, with
a light lunch served on board.

First stop, Bellagio, one of the most charming and iconic of the Lake Como towns, plus great shopping!

Then we’ll head to Tremezzo
for a tour of house and grounds of Villa Carlotta

We’ll have dinner at the famed Villa d’Este, n the shores of Lake Como, before heading back to Milan.

Tuesday, April 16

For a day at Salone del Mobile it pays to plan ahead. Review the exhibitor list, and/or this handy guide, then get in touch with the companies you know you want to talk with. Click on over to our Salone page for more details.

Or would you prefer to explore the events organized in Milan itself under the auspices of Fuorisalone? Click on the Off-Site page for more details on much of what's going on around town.

If you can, try to get to our dinner reservation early. First reason: the Montenapoleone district is where all the major fashions brands have their boutiques, and most will have some type of MDW installation worth seeing.

Second: the 2024 Prada Frames project, curated by Formafantasma, which delves into the intricate relationship between design and the environment, is housed in the same complex as our restaurant.

Tuesday Dinner:
7.30 reservations at
Il Salumaio di Montenapoleone
in central Milan.
Via Santo Spirito, 10 - Via Gesù, 5

Wednesday, April 17

Thanks to Robert, Erin, and Robert’s friend Samantha, we have been invited to a private tour of the Fornasetti home and archive.

Please be ready in the lobby of the hotel at 9:15am in order to make our 10:00am appointment at Fornasetti.

And, if you’d like to be close to our dinner reservations, spend the rest of the day, or least the afternoon, in south western part of the city and Zona Tortona.

Tortona is home to several mini-shows such as those at SuperStudio Più and other venues throughout the neighborhood.  In addition, there are special shows and installations by major brands such as Ikea, Preciosa, Archiproducts + Studiopepe, Corian, and many others.

Wednesday Dinner:
7.30 reservations at
El Brellin
on the Naviglio Grande

Thursday, April 18

Maybe you’re doing the fair today, if so on your return trip, get off at Porto Girabaldi, and hit up some of the late afternoon events in that area before meeting up for dinner.

If you're staying in the city today, we suggest concentrating your time in Brera district, also close to Porto Girabaldi and convenient to our dinner reservations.

Thursday Dinner:
7.30 reservations at
Ratana
near Porto Girabaldi
Via G. de Castillia 28

Friday, April 19

Maybe you’re “showed out” and want to see what else Milan has to offer. Maybe you have a bit of FOMO from what others have shared of their favorite finds over the past few days. Bur there’s still time to see more !

Our final dinner is truly an exceptional experience: the private chef’s table at Michelin-starred Morelli!

This is near Monumentale, so easy to get to if you’re coming directly from Salone, if you’ re spending the day in the Duomo or Brera districts, or if you’ve stopped back at the hotel before dinner.

Friday Dinner:
7.30 reservations at
Morelli
