Melanie Quintana Reyna

Staff Writer

This is sixteen year old junior Melanie Quintana Reyna’s second year in journalism and her love for literature, culture, current events, worldwide news, and people allows her to enjoy writing for almost any category. Melanie is an AP student and a proud member of the school’s Mock Trial team as well and has been since her freshman year, following in the footsteps of her older sister Giselle. She is also co-president of a couple clubs with her friends here at school. Outside of school, Melanie can be found listening to true crime podcasts or her all-time favorite artist Mitski, on the phone with friends, advocating for social justice, helping where help is needed, cooking and baking, or perfecting her eyeliner. After high school, she plans on traveling and going to college to double major in child development and education to pursue her lifelong dream of being a teacher. She hopes to someday open a restaurant, taking after her dad.
