Class of 2026 Senior Beach Trip Info & Guidelines
IMPORTANT REMINDER:
Only seniors who are NOT on the No-Go List or Non Grad List will be permitted to attend the trip on Friday.
CHECK IN:
• Check in begins at 7:30 AM in the gym
• Please arrive ON TIME and use the restroom beforehand
• All bags will be searched by law enforcement before boarding the buses
WHAT TO BRING:
• Towel
• Sunscreen
• Water
• Beach snacks and food are allowed
• Money for meals, snacks, arcade games, rides, and activities
• Blanket and/or sweater for the evening because it DOES get chilly at night
• Optional: beach chairs, umbrellas, footballs, volleyballs, etc.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND:
Whatever you bring with you to the beach, you will be responsible for carrying ALL DAY LONG.
Anything left on the bus may stay on the bus, HOWEVER:
• Once you exit the bus, the buses will leave to park
• There will NOT be access back and forth to the buses throughout the day
• Plan wisely and pack light enough to comfortably carry your belongings
THINGS TO DO:
Mission Beach Boardwalk has:
• Multiple places to eat
• Arcade games
• Roller coaster rides
• Shops and beach activities
• Lockers available near the boardwalk/pier if students would like to rent one
FOOD & MONEY:
Students MUST bring enough money to eat throughout the day. There will be NO bus stops on the way there or back once we depart.
EXPECTATIONS & BEHAVIOR:
This trip is a privilege and a celebration of your senior year. We expect all students to represent La Quinta High School with maturity, respect, and good decision making throughout the entire trip.
Absolutely NO drugs, alcohol, vapes, tobacco products, or any illegal substances are permitted at any time. Any student found in possession of, under the influence of, or participating in inappropriate behavior will face immediate disciplinary consequences, may be sent home at parent expense, and WILL risk losing the privilege to participate in graduation ceremonies, including walking at graduation.
Please make smart choices, stay with your groups, respect all school rules and expectations, and help us make this a safe and positive experience for everyone.
WEATHER:
Current forecast for Mission Beach on Friday is expected to be around the low 70s during the day and low 60s at night with ocean breeze conditions. It will be beautiful beach weather during the day, but cooler at night, so blankets and sweaters are highly recommended. (AccuWeather)
RETURN TIME:
• We will leave the beach at approximately 8:00 PM
• Estimated return to La Quinta is around 10:30 PM
