A Corner of Quiet Wonder for Children
Step gently into the Angel Room, a magical retreat at the Winter Faire created especially for children. Here, young hearts are invited to experience the quiet joy of choosing a small, lovingly wrapped gift, each one holding a treasure of thoughtfulness and care. The experience encourages children to pause, reflect, and delight in the gentle magic of giving, slowing their hands and hearts to savor this special seasonal ritual.
While parents and family members are warmly welcomed, the space is designed to center the children’s experience, guided by caring adults who help preserve a calm, reverent atmosphere. Volunteers and guests are asked to maintain quiet and mindfulness, gently encouraging the same among those waiting, so that the children can fully experience the sacred, heart-opening nature of this moment.
The Angel Room nurtures empathy, mindfulness, and joy in giving, reflecting the Waldorf celebration of the winter season and the cultivation of a generous, imaginative heart. Each gift becomes a tiny spark of joy, connecting giver and receiver in a shared moment of love and wonder—a treasured pause amid the festive bustle.
Angel Room Donations
The Angel Room is a place of quiet wonder where children may lovingly and secretly choose small gifts for their family and friends. It is a gentle space that reflects the true spirit of the season — the joy of giving from the heart.
Families are invited to donate 10 or more handcrafted or naturally/nature made gifts and items valued at $1 or more. Items may be homemade or gently purchased and should reflect simplicity, care, and timeless beauty rather than holiday-specific themes.
