At Desert Aid Services, we strive to provide humanitarian aid with a focus on medical assistance. As well as access to other essential resources such as food, water, and resource navigation. We aim to build a supportive and resilient community through outreach, collaboration, and education. Together, we work to empower individuals and families, fostering hope and healing in times of crisis.
Desert Aid Services is proud to be El Paso County’s first Non-Profit Street medicine program!
We bring healthcare and support directly to our most vulnerable neighbors—those facing homelessness and poverty—through focused outreach and compassionate care. By providing education, resources, and guidance, we empower individuals to make safe, positive choices and take steps toward healthier, more stable lives.
In March 2023, our founder began delivering street medicine services to unhoused individuals and refugees living on the streets of downtown El Paso. What started with simple acts of care quickly grew into a mission that now spans across El Paso County and beyond. Since then, we have reached hundreds of people—providing direct aid to those living on the streets, in shelters, and in underserved areas across El Paso, Roswell, Ruidoso, and even Juarez, Mexico.
Our work highlights a glaring gap in access to basic healthcare and first aid within our communities. As a street medicine organization, our mission is to bridge that gap by bringing essential care directly to people where they are—through street outreach, disaster relief efforts, and collaboration with local organizations.
Today, we focus on basic first aid, prevention, and education. Our vision is to expand our reach and resources by working alongside others who share our commitment to improving healthcare access. Together, we are building a future where quality care is available to everyone, no matter their circumstances.
