Mrs. Waters

Behavior Interventionist

Welcome to the Dover-Eyota ADSIS Behavior Web Page!

My name is Bobbi Waters and I am excited to be working for Dover-Eyota Schools!

I started my career in education in this very position as the first Dover-Eyota Behavior Interventionist.  I worked for DE for 6 years, completing my Masters Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in that time.  I left my position at DE to explore opportunities as a BCBA.  During my time away from DE,  I provided in-home services for children with Autism and their families, worked in an Autism therapy center, worked as a Behavior Analyst serving children and adults in the group home setting, and worked as a Behavior Specialist for many districts through Hiawatha Valley Education District.  I returned to Dover-Eyota in the Fall of 2020 and have loved every minute being back working directly with students!

My family and I live in Dover and I have two daughters, Kori (4th grade) and Alivia (8th grade).  My husband, Tony, works in commercial plumbing for Superior Mechanical.  We love being a part of the Dover-Eyota community!

The Behavior Interventionist position has grown since it first began. Currently, my duties include school-wide positive behavior supports, which help all students by creating clear expectations and shifting our focus from negative behavior to positive behavior, as well as individualized services to help students learn a variety of skills needed to navigate different aspects of their growing lives. My position is partially funded through a program called ADSIS, which stands for Alternative Delivery of Specialized Instructional Services. Both the reading and math interventionist positions are under this funding as well.  ADSIS is designed to provide a burst of support to students to prevent them from unnecessarily being referred for more intensive services.

Take some time to view the different links on this page to learn more about my services.  Always feel free to call or email with any questions.
