FMS in P.E.

This website is dedicated to showcasing a project in the School Excellence Fund (Digital), an initiative from the Department of Education in collaboration with the P.D.S.T.

It is a cluster of four primary schools and one secondary school in the west of Ireland collaborating to improve the teaching and learning of Physical Education with the aid of Information and Communication Technology.

The schools involved are:

St. Colmans Derrinabroc National School (Lead School)
Carracastle Central National School
Brusna National School
The Don National School
St. Nathy's College

We also have launched a Twitter page @FMSDigtialPE in order to engage the wider education and sporting public in our work.

The aim of the project is:

To enhance the Physical Education Programme at both Primary and Secondary School level in our cluster through the use constructivist pedagogies with mobile devices for students to give effective peer assessment and feedback in their PE lessons.
