ONLINE ENROLLMENT FOR SY 2021-2022
Doña Josefa E. Marcos Elementary School is located along 18th Avenue. It is an urban public non-central school which offers complete Basic Education Curriculum for Elementary as required by the Department of Education.
The school was built in 1950. Presently, the school acquired four buildings – Mathay Hall building, Bagong Lipunan Bldg, Special-Type Bldg and the Defensor Bldg with a total of 27 rooms wherein 22 rooms were used as instructional to accommodate thousand of pupils primarily from Barangay San Roque, Barangay Socorro and neighboring barangays. The school has undergone changes and improvements under the leadership of different pricipals and supervisors.
Within the vicinity of Barangay San Roque, two more public schools exist, Aguinaldo Elementary School and Camarilla Elementary School. Residents from Murphy Market are one of the greatest numbers of the school’s clientele.
At present, the school has thirty (32) teachers. Twenty six assigned as regular class and five (5) as ancillary teachers, the school is in need of two (4) more permanent teachers.
The school is in dire need of additional building to accommodate the increasing number of enrolment. They need more space for Industrial Arts and Home Economics.
At present, the school has newly constructed 2 storey, 2 Rooms, Multi-Purpose Hall which will soon be turned-over to the school donated by the DPWH and the office of Cong. Jorge “Bolet” Banal Jr.
