LEARNING RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
As per DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones, the start of the school year 2020-2021 was a victory. But we cannot deny that behind the victory are the underlying concerns of teachers and learners to the new learning modalities. One of that concern is the difficulty to reach the learners in reading brought by this pandemic. As we all know, reading is the most fundamental, essential and crucial element of every learner’s education. Therefore, the grade one teachers headed by their master teacher launched a project namely “Nanay Ko, Teacher Ko”. The project aims to have a support from the mothers as a helping hand in reaching the learners in reading. Mothers possessed a greater sense of efficacy for helping children learn to read. Parental involvement especially mothers in their children’s learning positively affects the child’s reading ability.
