LEARNERS INTERVENTION FOR ZERO NON-READERS: AN ADVOCACY
-was conceptualized to enhance the capability of learners to fully developed their own reading skills , by engaging themselves to Project-LIZA reading interventions.
For quality enhancement of their reading skills, Project-LIZA team planned and conducted series of observations and consolidations of data to assess and evaluate the reading performance of the learners. The project started on June 2018 and will continue if the post test will show positive development.
The assessment started with all the pupils. Teachers were guided to use the PHIL-IRI for Grades 4-6 as their tool/indicators while Grades 1-3 have used the C1-C8 form. Through intensified instruction and supervision teachers shall enhance their pupil’s reading performance after implementing the project. It aims to increase the number of readers from frustration to the next level by 85%.
