MHS-SHS Grade 12 Google Site: Our Senior Year

A Website Designed by the Students, For the Students

The creation of the Makati High School-Senior High School (MHS-SHS) Grade 12 Google Site was based on the DepEd Order No. 31 s. 2020 titled Interim Policy Guidelines for Assessment and Grading in Light of the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP). The DepEd Order reiterated that assessment is integral for understanding student learning and development, and assessment should be holistic and authentic in capturing the attainment of the most essential learning competencies (MELC).

To respond to the DepEd Order No. 31 s. 2020, the MHS-SHS Grade 12 Faculty mapped the Second Semester courses aligned with these principles of assessment. The body has decided to conduct an Integrated Performance Assessment (IPA) across the various subject areas in the different strands.

The MHS-SHS Grade 12 Google Site is the avenue created by every Grade 12 student to showcase their outputs from the different subject areas. Each section has a navigation tab that will lead the audience to the virtual museum that was designed by every member of the class. The IPA’s MAIN OBJECTIVE is to display the outputs of each student that were made with dedication and determination to succeed despite the challenges brought by the pandemic.

As part of the promotion of growth and mastery in the teaching-learning process, the Grade 12 IPA was divided into TWO (2) PHASES. The first phase (which was fulfilled during the Third Quarter) involves the following sections: 12-ABM A (Henry Sy), 12-ABM B (John Gokongwei), 12-HUMSS A (Gelia Tagumpay), 12-HUMSS B (Renato Constantino), and 12-STEM (Bienvenido Nebres). Meanwhile, the second phase of the IPA will be put together with the inclusion of the (to be fulfilled on the Fourth Quarter of the school year) will involve the 12-Arts and Design (Lucrecia Kasilag) along with the TVL Track students. It was designed in this manner because the aforementioned sections have undergone rigorous immersion programs.

Likewise, in the Phase 2 of IPA, there will be added features aside from the new virtual museums. Podcasts made by the Grade 12 students, student indexes, and “Artist of the Week” will be added on the Google Site.
