The new curriculum was implemented starting school year 2012-2013 increasing the number of years in the secondary education to six (6) years with the first four (4) years known as junior high school and the last two (2) years as senior high school. Its overall curriculum design follows the spiral approach wherein learning is a process of building upon previously learned knowledge.
The Senior High School within Sineguelasan Elementary School, offers technical-vocational-livelihood track to Grades 11 and 12 learners. Through this TVL track, students can gain the skills and knowledge they need to seek employment straight after senior high school whether local or international. The following learning strands are offered to learners for School Year 2022-2023:
Home Economics (HE). This learning strand is for learners who are interested in food and beverage services, bread and pastry services, housekeeping, and front office services. Learners under the Home Economics strand can earn TESDA National Certifications.
Electronic Products Assembly and Servicing NC II (EPAS). ​This learning strand is designed to develop and enhance the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of an Electronic Products Technician in accordance with industry standards. It covers the basic and common competencies in addition to the core competencies such as assembling electronic products, fabricating Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) modules, and installing and servicing consumer and industrial electronic products and systems.
The Senior High School Program includes three (3) subject groups, namely:
Core Subjects. The generic subjects required for all strands.
Applied or Contextualized Subjects. Develop the same competencies with different content based on your chosen strand.
Specialized Subjects. Sets of subjects based on specific specializations with competencies and content based on your chosen strand.
