A September to Remember - Keeping the Coasts and River Clean
A September to Remember - Keeping the Coasts and River Clean
Some SSG Officers, members of the different clubs and organizations, and students from different strands of Senior High School in Digos City participated in the National CleanUp Month Celebration of the Digos City Government.
The National CleanUp Month Celebration is spearheaded by the City Greening Council headed by Allen Christy Melendez and is comprised of two events - the International Coastal Clean Up Day from the shoreline of Punta Biao, Cogon up to Dawis Bolinao, Digos City on September 17, 2022, with its theme: "Fighting for Trash Free-Seas-Pilipinas: Ending the flow of trash at the source".
On September 24 - the River CleanUp was conducted at the Riverside, Zone I, Digos City, and was participated in by different organizations in Digos City.
The participation of the students and the different organizations showed the eagerness and enthusiasm that caring the mother earth by keeping it still and clean has a place in their hearts to volunteer, in spite of and despite the environmental situation that we faced nowadays - climate change is inevitable and it should have taken an action to preserve it and keep our riverways and coastal shorelines clean from time to time.
