GRACE LICAYCAY TABAOG
Principal IWELCOME TO THE PGNHS WEBSITE
The challenge of Sulong Edukalidad amid this pandemic is not a piece of cake. Just like how the set of protocols for health safety stepped up, the need for differentiated approaches in the name of quality education to continuously improve life-long skills and to foster critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and digital competence among learners has immensely magnified in this year’s educational endeavor.
To cite, teacher’s journey towards capacitating themselves to become well-versed of the latest trends in teaching is now seen in the colorful road to success. As evident, Pacac Grande National School’s creation of this school website serves as an access for everyone to witness the school’s journey filled with stories of victories and milestones bringing out the best of the students’ skills, abilities, and potentials empowering them to become contributors for the society’s progress..
Despite being trapped in this scary situation, PGNHsians whom I believe are brave souls will be inspired through this website as they are given up-to-date happenings and whereabouts of the school enabling them to actively take part in all of the school’s projects and programs. More so, may this portal be an avenue for us to make great things not only for personal development but also for everyone’s benefits.
Therefore, on behalf of PGNHS family, I am inviting each and everyone to discover more of our humble school as you travel with us in our school webpages. And so with this, I welcome you all in this odyssey which can be able to turn you into someone with incomparable strength and character who can be able to inspire others to brave the inevitable agonies of life.

Current Time
In an empowering move to educate the youth on critical societal issues, the Philippine National Police (PNP) Amulung, led a comprehensive symposium focusing on Anti-Terrorism, Special Laws, and RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
The event, targeted at Grade 10 and 11 students, was held at the PGNHS gymnasium on February 28, underlining the importance of informed and vigilant young citizens.Major Tristan John F. Zambale spearheaded the initiative, emphasizing the vulnerability of young individuals to curiosity and adventure, which, while natural, can sometimes lead them astray. "The youth, at this age, are the most curious, adventurous, and they are more likely to explore different things," Major Zambale noted, highlighting the critical need for such educational programs.
The symposium was not just a lecture, but a dynamic interaction aimed at equipping students with essential knowledge about laws affecting their daily lives, the dangers of drug abuse, and the threats posed by terrorism. The sessions were designed to foster a deeper understanding of these issues, enabling students to make informed decisions and stay safe.
A notable quote shared during the event, "Walang maloloko kung walang magpapaloko" by Stanley Banan, resonated with the attendees, underscoring the power of awareness in preventing victimization. The program's objective was clear - to encourage the youth to be more observant of their surroundings, gain prior knowledge about the laws, and actively engage in discussions that broaden their understanding of drugs, terrorism, and legal matters.
The symposium represents a significant step towards empowering the next generation, not just as informed citizens but as initiative-taking members of society capable of contributing to the safety and well-being of their communities. Through initiatives like these, the PNP Amulung is not only tackling immediate threats but also investing in a future where the youth are well-equipped to navigate the complexities of the modern world.
Overall, the symposium was a success in educating young people about important legal issues. The PGNHS community headed by Ma'am Grace L. Tabaog, Principal I, extends its gratitude to the esteemed speakers for sharing their time and valuable insights.

“Eagles love the storm. They got excited when storm clouds gather because they welcome the challenge it brings. They know the storm winds will lift them above the clouds. Above the clouds, they can rest their wings and become stronger.”
To be like an eagle soaring high above everything or together with those in the highest altitude is somewhat a complexed journey. Likewise, to reach or be on the summit of the highest mountains require great courage and bravery.
Metaphorically, Pacac Grande National High School was an eagle’s egg laid at Pacac Grande – Tana Elementary School. After being nested there for two years, it hatched allowing an eaglet to come out.
The eaglet then started to crawl for its thighs and limbs are still weak to run with haste; and its wings are not yet capable to bring it atop everything. Hence, the eaglet reached the site where PGNHS is now.
Loving hands and caring hearts took part in the rearing of the eaglet then. All what it needed were pitched in by different stakeholders, whether inside or outside stakeholders. To wit were the planning by the different heads and in-charge; the labor extended by parents, students and barangay officials as well; the fund allotments by the local government units; and the budgetary allocations by the DepEd National.
Fed with all these, the eaglet began to grow feathers by which passers-by and onlookers were really awed to. Its limbs began to gain resiliency and its wings of bright feathers began to spread wider making it visible to the kings and queens of journalistic competitions, socio-cultural showoffs and academic endeavors.
With voice getting more matured, the eaglet crowed off its name as it had finally redeemed independence from its mother way back 2013. It proudly mimicked its name Pacac Grande National High School.
The opening of Senior High during its initial year of implementation added again some colorful and bright feathers to the eagle as it began to soar higher. Special coloration to its feather now is the technological prowess of the SH coordinator which benefits not just the eagle itself but the entirety of the Division.
PGNHS, the eagle, is really soaring high now. It doesn’t reach yet peak but it is brightly elating itself to some greater heights.
However, as any other creature do, the eagle had also gone through some painful challenges. Nature’s wrath hadn’t excluded the eagle since it went deep – down floodwaters for three times. All its resources were greatly damaged then that was why it was crippled.
But, Hail to the Gods and Goddesses, Generosity is not yet dead! Great Samaritans are still alive and they do dwell inside the hearts of all the Generous. The Samaritans reflooded the eagle not with the muddy and turbid floodwaters but with relieving goods and blessings. Something the eagle is thankful about.
Now, the journey is not yet over. It will be a lifetime sojourn. But for sure, the 15-year journey of excellence threaded by the eagle is the most colorful among all colorful journeys DepEd Amulung had ever have.
PGNHS is the EAGLE with visions focused for EXCELLENCE.

"The only constant in life is change" -Heraclitus
As the adage says, change is the only permanent thing in the world. Apparently, the sudden hit of the COVID-19 pandemic has brought drastic change in the lives of every Juan dela Cruz in the planet. There seems to be a quick shift from what is usual into a new normal way of living. Indeed, this abrupt change does not exclude even the educational landscape in our country thus the conception of differrent learning modalities which were introduced just so to continue the education of the learners. Nonetheless, Pacac Grande National High School, our humble institution, courageously abreasts itself to whatever tide and fortune this health crisis would bring. Challenging as it may seem, PGNHS adapts well with all the challenges affirmatively. Hence, PROJECT BICITA SA BARANGAY was given birth.
Project BICITA sa Barangay (Building Interdependence with the Community for Immediate Teachnical Aid to learners) is conceptualized by our very own school head, Sir Charles Marcos, whose ultimate goal is to reach out to our learners in their respective communities to properly address all the challenges encountered, issues, and other relevant concerns with the implementation of distance learning or home schooling. This, too, will surely enhance the bond between and among the different stakeholders and clienteles since we generate insights and ideas from parents, guardians, PTA officers, barangay officials and administrators. We visit one barangay at a time to closely ensure that health protocols are not being compromised and we see to it that such concerns are given immediate response and are being addressed well.
In doing such, Pacac Grande National High School was able to know the pulse of the community and this will eventually benefit the school as it will aid in bettering the existing academic practices and norms. Project BICITA sa Barangay was a weeklong activity conducted on February 2-6, 2021 to complete the quick visit to its 13 feeder barangays.
Such impediments like the COVID 19 pandemic does not curtail us from achieving more. This goes without saying that the PGNHS family is unstoppable and indestructible despite this challenging times. There is more that we need to thank God for and we must say that optimism is the key. In everything, focus on the positive side of each circumstance.

The celebration of the 15th Founding Anniversary of our beloved school is really the very first of its kind as virtual songs, dances and acting competitions thundered inside the four walled TVL laboratory which is too much different from the usual undertakings during the normal days.
Before, squads of contestants and battalion of supporters do crowd competition stages in eagerness to showcase talents and to boost the morale of performers. So are the extra nervous and excited coaches and coordinators.
Nevertheless, the pandemic had never been an obstacle for the students to perform well in the categories they represented. Indeed, they were able to display mythically their innate skills and the hidden talents the pandemic had almost dumpenned.
Side comment of the honorable Consuelo M. Buking, barangay chairman of Pacac Grande is that the activity paved way for the students to recess from their modules and to unwind.
She also said that the activity is really a breakthrough and for her it was definitely nice.
Below are the barangays who reaped laurels in the different categories. Arranged from first to third placer:
FUNNY VIDEOS: Pacac Pequeno, Unag, Annabuculan
TIKTOK: Annafatan, Logung, Annabuculan
POPDANCE: Logung, Annabuculan, Pacac Grande
VOCAL SOLO: Alituntung, Annafatan, Annabuculan
CANVASS PAINTING: Pacac Grande, Bauan, Annafatan
At this juncture then, we really express our sincerest gratitude to all of you, dear students, parents, barangay officials and the teachers for you really did your part.
To all the winners, SALUDO. To the momentarily unlucky, THANK YOU.
WE ARE ALL WINNERS because WE ARE PGNHSians.

It's upsetting to see the aftermath of a natural disaster like mega flood. This triggers immediate appeals for rescue and aid as the typhoon left massive floods that devastated not only human properties but also resulted to human casualties.
This natural phenomenon has not spared Pacac Grande National High School as history will tell its unforgettable nightmare last November of 2020. Seen as heavily devastated by the typhoon Ulysses and severely sumberged during the megaflood that hit the entire province in which almost all school properties specifically plants, equipment and other facilities were destroyed, the school was indeed in dire need of help.
In line with this, a donation drive was created and dubbed as “BANGON PGNHS” to seek help from those with generous hearts through airing our sentiments in social media which aimed to not let any dilemma let go of what we had started and to work hand in hand for the best PGNHS.
Truly, every little bit helps! In an effort to help rebuild the school after the devastating mega flood, “#BANGON PGNHS” was accepting Cash and in-kind donations.
The following items were recommended for in-kind donations:
· Printer
· Ink
· Bond papers
· books
Interested donors may drop these off at Pacac Grande National High School, Pacac Grande, Amulung, Cagayan . More so, also for those interested to course cash donations, they may send them through the given accounts. The proceeds are used for the continuous recovery of the school.
No matter how new trials we may encounter, we will be together and rise together to the new beginning. This historical and unforgettable event has taught us that if it seems as if these complex events are endless when people are almost hopeless, and everybody cries for help, the light of hope will always shine ready to motivate everyone that things will soon become better.
As Henry Ford says, “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success”. Tackling obstacles and creating notable work together would lead us to a higher level of job satisfaction and success. Working together towards a common goal, leads to great achievements.
As sign of its deepest gratitude, PGNHS posted in its facebook page the list of names with generous hearts who extended their immediate help to the school’s plight.
