During the prewar era, there was no school in Barrio Nangka. The children of school age attended classes in the adjoining barrios while the older people attended adult education classes under Maestrong Metiong using the house of Mr. Eulalio "Ayong" Hernandez.

In 1941, before World War II, Eulalio "Ayong" Hernandez sought children from Sitios Nangka, Talanay, Balante, Parang, and Sulok to attend First Grade Classes under the tutelage of Ms. Ester del Rosario. He converted part of their house to be used as the first-ever school for these students. Schooling ceased due to the war but resumed once the war was over. In the same house, a time came when a first-grade level was opened because the number of children required in a class was met. The pioneer teacher then was Ms. Ester Del Rosario, sometime in 1950.

The year 1954 was considered a milestone in the Education History of Barrio Nangka when the government under the administration of President Ramon del Fiero Magsaysay initiated the building of the first (Model) prefabricated school structure. The President was the guest of honor during the inauguration. According to him, the school was the first of its kind because it was erected through the engineer’s corps of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The school building program was based on self-help materials that were furnished by the army while labor was supplied by the barrio folks through the so-called “Bayanihan System”. He also said that the prefabricated school buildings would be installed in many barrios throughout the country as part of the government program to boost the education system. The two-room building was constructed with a concrete foundation with rooms made of wood and an asbestos roof.

Since then, the school has continuously grown and improved; the foremost of which was when the Nangka Parent -Teachers Association succeeded in having the complete intermediate grades with Mr. Rodolfo de Guzman as the first school principal. Through the years, several improvements both in school facilities and amenities were done with the help of the hardworking succeeding principals, namely Mr. Benjamin Evangelista, Dr. Rolenda Sarmiento, Dr. Melquiades Calugay, Dr. Rosario M. Jocson, Mrs. Ruth Gollayan and Dr. Ismaelita Rivera.
Since then, the school has continuously grown and improved; the foremost of which was when the Nangka Parent -Teachers Association succeeded in having the complete intermediate grades with Mr. Rodolfo de Guzman as the first school principal. Modern buildings and infrastructures were added during the leaderships of Mr. Augusto T. Mendoza (2003 – 2005), Mrs. Corazon Cruz (2005 – 2006) and Mr. Rubi A. Parungao (2006 – 2008). They gave priority to the improvement of the physical facilities to make the school conducive for learning.

To intensify the campaign to provide quality and free education which is inclusive and responsive to the needs of the learners, several projects and programs within the school were implemented during the leadership of hardworking principals namely, Mrs. Marciana R. De Guzman (2012 – 2015), Mrs. Teresita J. Cervantes (2015 – March 15, 2016), and Mrs. Jovita Consorcia F. Mani (March 16, 2016 – September 15, 2016).
