General Academic Strand is for learners who are not yet decided on what course to take in college. It is possible that the learner will be given bridging courses to assess his/her preparedness for the field of study he/she will choose in the future. MIS -SHS has Food and Beverage Services as an elective. Food and Beverage Services NCII is a Technical-Vocational Program that trains students on the preparation of food plans and meals for restaurants, hotels, canteens, banquets and functions, and basically any establishments that serves food top a large number of people. This program also teaches student students how to properly welcome guests and take foods and beverage orders, promote food and beverage products and provide food and beverage service to guests.
This tracks invests primarily om the skill that can gain you requisite COCs (Certificate of Competency) and NCs (National Certificate) which would be essential when looking for better career opportunities in agriculture, electronics, and trade. This is also important when applying for work abroad where skills you gain would prepare you to join the workforce.
Electrical Installation and Maintenance
Electrical Installation and Maintenance NCII will train you in installing and maintaining electrical wiring, lighting and related equipment and systems in residential buildings.
Skills that you will acquire from enrolling in this program include:
prepare construction materials and tools.
observe procedures, specifications and manuals of instruction.
interpret technical drawings and plans.
perform mensuration and calculations.
maintain tools and equipment.
prepare electrical power and hydraulic tools.
perform roughing-in activities for communication and distribution system.
install wiring devices for floor and ground fault current interrupting outlets.
install electrical protection system for lighting and grounding.
install electrical lighting system on auxiliary outlets and lighting fixtures.
