Class Attendance

CLASS ATTENDANCE

• Punctuality

A student is expected to attend his/her classes punctually and regularly. In addition, it is the responsibility of the student to catch up on the les sons missed during any absence.

• Tardiness

A student is considered late or tardy if he/she comes after the start of the class.

• Maximum Allowable Absences

As stipulated in the DepEd MRPS of 2010 section 133, a student is allowed to be absent for no more than twenty percent (20%) of the prescribed number of class or laboratory periods during the semester.

• Excused or Approved Absences

Excused or approved absences are limited only to the following cases:

A. Absences because the student represented Malaguip IS in an official function or activity as authorized by the School Head/Principal.

B. Absences due to a severe illness or accident as certified by an attend physician. (Medical Records)

C. Absences because of the death of next of kin (grandparent, parent. brother or sister) certified by a close neighbor or copy of the death certificate.
