1945, the year when Lal- lo National High School was born in the bosom of once was called the seat of the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia. The municipal council of Lal-lo spearheaded by the late Mayor Maurencio Siriban who earnestly cast a fire in a doomed meadow uncertain of its spark beamed to a brilliant star radiating into the hearts of those who adhere to the splendour of quality education for a lifelong quality life.
Wayback 1945, the school nurtured only one section of first year students and one section of second year students, who brought with them their own chairs, were cared and honed in the upper floor of the Municipal Building which served as their home school.
Two years later, the school offered complete secondary course addressing to the booming number of students. Buildings made of light materials were constructed in the Municipal Park.
From 1945 to early part of 1982, the school continued to flourish through tuition fees and meager amount of national aid. These were the critical periods of this prestigious institution. The years where teachers were only regarded as floating employees. Resources were limited, although it was recognized as a government institution, the local and national government were not responsive to its needs. Despite these trying moments, teachers displayed resiliency and selfless service.
In 1982, the dawn gleamed during the governorship of Justice Justiniano Cortes of Cagayan and the persistent former principal Maria Consigna, who lighted hope to teachers whose positions were integrated in the provincial pay plan. Finally, the school was recognized as Provincial High School until its nationalization in 1989.
In 1995, Principal Leandro Bacuyag with his managerial adeptness, premiered teachers’ ranking which paved way to teachers positions and promotions particularly opening doors to Master Teacher Items under national pay; Principal Bacuyag handed down this institution to his brilliant and committed successors who immensely contributed to the schools metamorphosis.
At present, this prestigious institution of learning, with the competent leadership of the incumbent Principal III, Vanancio Ramos Corpuz, perpetually keeps up the excellent stature of Lal- lo National High School.
LNHS as a peak performing school has been the favourite host of Division and Regional conferences, trainings, seminars and programs. Quality secondary education and service has been the topmost priority, as it offers 4 Curricula: Special Science Class, Special Program in Journalism, Special Program in the arts and the K to 12.
