Eco Craft Project

Eco Craft is a school-initiated income-generating project of Basbasa Elementary School, SDO Abra which aims to augment the instructional materials/school supplies of 50 learners. Parents of beneficiaries were trained in making eco-craft and selling products to raise funds for the learners.

Partnership with parents, PNP, barangay officials, and the community was strengthened through this project.

Project RIPE-APPLE ( Reading Intervention Program Engagement of All Parents and Partners for Literacy Enhancement) is a banner project of Sta. Marcela Central School, SDO Apayao focused on reading activities, making the barangay Marcela Learners A Reader. Under this project, two school-led interventions were developed: Project REACH-ELLNN

(Rewarding Exemplary Achievement, Collaboration & Honesty to Enhance Learning & Literacy this New Normal) which caters to the needs of the learners mastering their reading skills in their respective homes with the family’s supervision while teachers guide, supervised, and assess the reading progress quarterly; and Project LOVES BPP (Learner Onward Through Volunteer Excellent Service Brigada Pagbasa Pagbabatayam). This project focused on  capacitating volunteer tutors for every identified slow reader and strengthening partnerships between the internal and external stakeholders.

Project SIRIB is an assemblage of Baguio Central School programs that embody the goal of championing curriculum and instruction which improves the literacy and numeracy skills among the learners. AMBOT, AMBIT (Active Mind Brightens One Idea Towards) is a Reading Program of Pinget Elementary School intensified its efforts in improving the literacy and numeracy of the kindergarten to Grade 6 struggling learners and achieved the targets of DepEd’s Bawat Bata Bumabasa. It enhanced remedial instructions for beginning readers and struggling readers. It also strengthened partnerships between parents/guardians, teachers, and partners in establishing a love for reading, educating parents/guardians on how to teach beginning reading at home, and providing reading supplies and activities for identified struggling readers. Remedial lessons which were within the appropriate competencies included in the curriculum had activities that applied a pull-out system, peer teaching, tutorial, and synchronous/asynchronous way of remedial instructions.

Students on the other hand were involved in different sports activities. The Biggest Loser Challenge, Communing with Nature, the conduct of seminars/webinars on Physical, Mental, Emotional, Social, and Spiritual Health. It is the vision of the SIGLAT Salun-at Health and Wellness Program to continuously

improve its projects and activities. This is to support the school in its aim to promote total

wellness among the faculty and staff, learners, parents and other stakeholders.

Panangbigbig iti Kultura

Panagbigbig Iti Kultura is a project of Lucban Elementary School, SDO of Baguio City that aims to enhance the knowledge and awareness of the Baguio indigenous people learners on the Indigenous Knowledge Skills, and Practices (IKSPs) and culture in response to the K to 12 Curriculum, strengthen the linkage with the community for a continuous enrichment of the IKSPs, and to facilitate the provision of contextualized learning resources and opportunities for teaching and learning purposes. The project was successfully implemented and strengthened through the collaboration and partnership of the school and other stakeholders. Annual planning, monitoring and evaluation of the activities aided to the increase of learners who are knowledgeable and aware of their own culture. Improved parents’ attendance during school activities was noted. Through this project, more meaningful learning opportunities and contextualized learning materials were developed and utilized by the school and were also shared to other schools of Baguio City.

PAG-ASAM (Programang Aakay, Gagabay at Aaruga tungo sa mabuting Samahan ng mga Anak at Magulang ng Pines city National High School) is a school initiated program of Pines City National high School under the Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao Department in partnership with the Parents Teachers Association, Benguet State University, Epicenter Church, and Junior

Chamber International Baguio Sunflower. PAG-ASAM was intended for parents and students of PCNHS to enhance a closer and harmonious relationship between them. It aims to strengthen partnerships and linkages to parents and external stakeholders through different activities such as parenting seminars, parent and child encounters, parent-teacher for a day, and parent-teacher conference.

PAG-ASAM has been instrumental in reaching out to the learners.  The program was strengthened by the monitoring and adjustments done by the school heads and paved the way for expanding the program by conducting research on the Implementation of the Parenting Program at PCNHS and School Engagement and Academic Performance of Learners to improve learners’ skills. It has gained support from parents, LGUs, and various non-government institutions which serves as caring for carers and learners for the past four years.

Project Oplan Bawas Basura para sa Pondo ng Bawat Seksyon is a fund-generating project which provides an avenue where the Fort Del Pilar National High School community can conveniently dispose of their recyclable trash goods and at the same time earn extra cash. Generally, the project aims to promote the continuation of proper solid waste management to all members of the school community, especially during this pandemic period. Specifically, it aims to: a.) increase awareness and participation of learners and teachers in proper waste segregation as a sense of responsibility and proactive citizenship; b.) reduce a sufficient amount of solid waste disposed of; c.) generate income as a source of classroom funds by selling recyclable wastes; d.) maximize the use of the school MRF (Material Recovery Facility) as storage of recyclables; and e.) develop the spirit of “Bayanihan” among learners in addressing waste management issues.

RISKS-Dalimeg ni Pan-addalan

RISKS-Dalimeg ni Pan-addalan is a reading intervention program of Tinoc Central School, born out of a need to address the presence of 4% or 6 non-readers in the S.Y. 2021-2022 and 4% or 7 non-readers in S.Y 2019-2020 identified after conducting the Phil-IRI assessment. Moreover, this project aims to improve the reading skills of the learners especially the pupils at risk of dropping out (PARDOs), bridge learning gaps, and systematize reading processes across all subject areas. 

The practice was an avenue for the development of more reading-learning resources. Because of the project, 16 contextualized or localized reading LRs in print were developed and twenty-six (26) audio-video lessons in sounds, beginning reading and fluency were prepared and these were utilized and to be used every school year to help address reading gaps of learners. As a result, or output of the best practice, non-readers and drop-outs turned zero and the achievement and promotion rate was high.
