October is Araling Panlipunan Month. This year is highlighted by the celebration of the United Nations.
The Department of Education (DepEd) will celebrate the National Teachers’ Month(NTM) from September 5 to October 5, 2017, which is also the National Teachers’ Day (NTD) and World Teachers’ Day (WTD). This year’s theme is Gurong Pilipino: Kaakbay sa Progreso. Fortune Elementary School will celebrate the World Teachers' Day on October 5, 2017 highlighted with a mass, a program with pupils showing their talents and their appreciation to their teachers, a Teacher Got Talent-a fun competition for the teacher showcasing their talents, volleyball competition between teachers and parents and teachers will have fun games for the pupils.
The 2021 National Women’s Month Celebration serves as a tribute, a platform, and a call to action that highlights the extraordinary roles of ordinary Juanas in the society as trailblazers and harbingers of change. This celebration is also a venue to discuss and address the issues that women continue to face so empowerment can be fully achieved. The campaign is also a call for concrete, sustainable, and inclusive actions towards gender equality.

Proclamation No. 224 s. 1988 declaring the first week of March each year as Women’s Week and March 8 as Women’s Rights and International Peace Day
Proclamation No. 227 s. 1988 providing for the observance of the Month of March as Women’s Role in History Month
Republic Act (RA) 6949 s. 1990 declaring March 8 of every year as National Women’s Day.
