Why CAI?
In the context of integrating CAI in the education process has become a fundamental element in the learning experience of today’s 21st century learners. DAS (2003) in his study concluded that students have a positive attitude and outlook, towards computer education received in their respective schools.
Computer-aided instruction is used to convey a huge amount of information in a very short period of time. In fact, it is an efficient way of reinforcing concepts, especially to the topics that students are hard to understand. This give the students the freedom to comprehend these concepts at their own pace conducive to self-learning allowing them to focus on the materials that they need to learn.
CAI is not an alternative to the existing educational system we have. Rather, it is a powerful tool that can be utilized for both teachers and learners to improve the entire education process. This captures the students’ attention because the programs are interactive and engage the student’s spirit of competitiveness. It is tailored to meet the needs of the learners, thus giving them the opportunity to have a holistic learning experience.
CAI also offers opportunity not only for learners but for teachers as well. This can be used to support differentiated instruction to ensure that all levels of learners are catered adjusting the level of difficulty based on the student’s performance, since programmed lessons provide immediate feedback to both the teacher and the learner.
And as part of the teacher’s professional growth, one must learn the skills and be equipped with the use of technology to instruction to face the challenge on the new trends in education.
As we sail through the 21st century, technology in the classroom is becoming more and more predominant. Tablets are replacing our textbooks, and we can research just about anything that we want to on our smart phones. Social media has become commonplace, and the way we use technology has completely transformed the way we live our lives.
Educators, too, have seen firsthand the benefits of technology in the classroom. They also recognize the importance of developing these technological skills in students so they will be prepared to enter the workforce once they complete their schooling.
The impact that technology has had on today’s schools has been quite significant. This widespread adoption of technology has completely changed how teachers teach and students learn. Teachers are learning how to teach with emerging technologies while students are using advanced technology to shape how they learn. By embracing and integrating technology in the classroom, we are setting our students up for a successful life outside of school. Here are a few benefits of using technology in the classroom.
IT Hub is an incredible space with areas to host classroom to support collaboration, and flexible seats to encourage collaboration. This will help the learners to engage things and enables them to learn at their own pace.
