Maternity Leave
DepEd provides its female employees with the 105-Day Expanded Maternity Leave with full pay, which is a right granted under Republic Act 11210. This entitlement applies to all government female workers, including those in the Department of Education, regardless of their employment status, civil status, or mode of delivery. The benefit includes an additional 15 days for qualified solo parents and can be extended by another 30 days without pay. For cases of miscarriage or emergency termination of pregnancy, a 60-day maternity leave with full pay is provided.
