Program Description
The Reading Intervention Program is a program supplementary to an existing literacy curriculum, that is provided to students for the primary purpose of increasing reading levels. This program is mainly focused on students with reading problems.
Reading intervention provides students with an opportunity to increase their reading fluency and comprehension skills. Students who receive reading interventions are part of a community of learners who have the opportunity to increase their skills to become instructional readers and independent readers.
Program Objectives:
administer comprehension and oral reading assessments to identify students with reading difficulties
determine the reading difficulty level of the students for intervention
provide reading interventions to improve the reading performance of the the students
