The General Academic Strand (GAS) offers students a flexible learning path, allowing them to explore electives across different strands, including Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) tracks. One of the popular electives under the Home Economics specialization is Bread and Pastry Production (BPP), where learners gain hands-on experience in baking, culinary skills, and food preparation, preparing them for both professional opportunities and personal enrichment.
The course is designed to meet the standards for National Certificate Level II (NC II) from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
CORE COMPETENCIES:
Prepare and produce bakery products (breads).
Prepare and produce pastry products (pies, pastries).
Prepare and present gateau, tortes, and cakes.
