The #KATIGBISIG PROGRAM ver. 2.0 is the flagship program of the school under its Learning Recovery and Continuity plan which aims to im-prove the access and quality of basic education ser-vices through different programs and initiatives. This contextualized program supports the DepEd’s “Basic Education Development Plan 2030" (BEDP 2030) and the DepEd Region VI Mantra “…where every child is a champion”, by focusing the roadmap in achieving the following priorities:
Access – Ensuring access to learning opportunities
Equity – Addressing the needs of learners who are placed at the disadvantaged
Quality – Improving the quality education, particularly curriculum, assessment, learning environments and the upskilling and reskilling of teachers and leader.
Resiliency – Building resilience among learners and allowing them to exercise their rights in a positive learning environment.
Meanwhile, the #KATIG-BISIG Program ver. 2.0 has strengthened its four (4) fundamental components which are systematically aligned within the context of the needs of learners, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders towards providing the best education services and learning opportunities in this new normal education as follows:
UMAAGAPAY. This component focuses on the Learning Environment Improvement, Establishment of Home Learning Spaces, Learning Resources Provision, and Nurturing Teachers for their improved capabilities.
UMAAYON. It focuses on the 3i’s (Initiatives, Interventions, and Innovations) which are essential in addressing the learning gaps to improve learning outcomes, safe-guarding learners’ well-being and protection, and building resiliency.
UMAAKSYON. This component highlights the school’s sound governance processes to provide quality support for learning in the new normal education.
UMUUSAD. This component underscores the strong partnership and collaboration between the school and the community fostering advocacy for gaining stakeholders engagement, confidence, and participation in the educative process
Katig-Bisig symbolizes unity and cooperation despite the learning challenges in this new normal. The implementation of Katig-Bisig Program ver. 2.0 greatly helped the school and the wider community of teachers, parents and especially the learners in the continuing basic education.
