Research is one of the thrusts of the Department of Education (DepEd) that every educational institution must take with utmost importance and consideration. It is the life-blood of an institution. The research initiative in the Department of Education sustains its progressive orientation by ensuring that actions made through the integration of policies and programs were guided by sound, relevant and evidence-based process through the conduct of research.With it, the goals and objectives of the academe for its clientele could be realized. Thus, it is vital that all members of the GNTS family work hand in hand to attain quality research in order to produce highly competitive graduates.
Goal
The Gattaran National Trade School shall enhance the individual`s capacity to identify, create and distribute knowledge for reuse and to conduct independent, relevant studies.
Objectives
To foster an academic environment that nurtures and inspires the faculty, personnel and students to develop fully their research skills, thus contributing to curriculum development.
To undertake development-oriented, community-based, innovative and creative researches that would redound to the general welfare of the academic community and the general community within which the school operates.
To provide activities that will continuously upgrade the research capabilities of the faculty, personnel and students.
To serve as an avenue for the dissemination of research outputs to the academic community and potential users, and to manage the identification, accumulation and application of knowledge to developmental and research activities.
To promote the translation, transformation and utilization of research outputs by decision makers, planners, policy formulators and the public.
To formulate/collate the development plan of the school which shall incorporate the development plan of each school.
