The land from which the school is situated since 50’s is generously donated by Doña Veronica Collantes Vda. De Segismundo, a teacher whose heart is indeed in the field of educating his co-baranggay people.
Tiaong Elem. School was a known “Pilot Community School” in Baliwag way back 1960’s, and by 1963 it was named “Lt. Cecilio Abraham Elem. School” to carry the newly given name to the barangay as promulgated in Provincial Decree No. 549 dated November 25, 1963. However, just as how the community got used to referring the barangay as “Tiaong” instead of Lt. Cecilio Abraham, the same also happened with the school. Hence, the school is still referred as Tiaong Elementary School up to present.
During an interview with the elders who formerly studied in TiES, they said that many things have already changed. From mere 4 bamboos and Nipa- made classrooms, Marcos- type, RP-US type and Bagong Lipunan Building has come to replace the old ones. Nowadays, the school vicinity is furnished with 14 classrooms, 1 principal’s Office, a library, a computer room and a stage with cover court. Both literally and metaphorically speaking, “from a grass-filled surrounding to a colorful landscape” is an exact description for the change that occurred in TiES.
