Cadcadir Elementary School is located at the westernmost part of Claveria, near the boundary of Claveria and Sta. Praxedes. It is situated in a lot with an area of 6991 sq. m. The school is located at the gate of Cadcadir West and is bounded by the provincial road, the barangay hall of Cadcadir West and the barangay clinic, vast riceland and residential homes. The school is serving two barangays, Cadcadir West and Cadcadir East with 659 and 634 population respectively and a few come from Sicul and San Miguel which are parts of Sta. Praxedes, the nearby town.
Farming, fishing, raising of animals and small business scale are the main occupations of the people. Only 20% of the families are well to do, 40% are just above the poverty line and 40% are below the poverty line. The families of professionals, government employees, pensioners, and overseas contract workers belong to the well to do families. Every household is energized by electric power so people in the two barangays enjoy the luxury of using electrical appliances, especially television which gives enjoyment to the people while they are resting. Communication is also accessible because of the presence of cell sites.
There is no rapid growth of population because of the willingness of parents to accept family planning as a means of controlling the rapid growth of population. Many religious sects exist in the barangays but Roman Catholic is the religion of most of the people. Iloko is the main dialect being spoken.
Cadcadir Elementary School as a part of the Department of Education particularly Sta. Praxedes-Claveria West District, is committed to develop young Filipinos with the knowledge, skills, habits and attitudes which are essential for active participation in the economical, political, socio-cultural, spiritual and moral life in a just and humane society. It provides a school system where the stakeholders, teachers and the school head dedicate their efforts for the education of their children not only because it is their job but because they are competent and accountable. And most of all they are sincere and committed to the purpose. The school serves as a venue where the pupils attain well-rounded development through quality education with the values and culture of excellence. It is a place where pupils, teachers, and parents interact harmoniously and work cooperatively in all undertakings in order to attain the desired goals.
