Thanks, Rachel! You did great!

And we're glad to know we're not the only one worrying about if there's more important, more entertaining, more relaxing, more inexpensive, caring, and meaningful things to be done with our time in the world than quote unquote paint.

An artist we cannont remember and will misquote stated, "Sometimes a nice sculpture is to provide for your family." This is true and we like thinking about art this way,; BUT, we, TOO, like art that is made with gooey liquid, photographed, printed and cut out and pasted, attached to an armature, placed in the middle of a pond (or gallery), or flap away digitally on screen all while leaving us to scratch our head.

Another artist we remember, but will refrain from mentioning her name, once said that despite unfair societal expectations and pressures placed upon her for being a woman, wife, and mother, she must persist in making art...otherwise, she will be horrible at being all three.
