It's important to be aware that as a nonresident student in the U.S., you're legally required to file a tax return if you received U.S. income during 2025. And, even if you didn't work or receive income in the U.S., you're still obliged to file a Form 8843 with the IRS if you were in the U.S. as a student during 2025.
Denison University has arranged free access to Sprintax Tax Preparation for you to file your federal tax return (state tax preparation in Sprintax is at an additional cost to you). Sprintax will guide you through the tax preparation process, arrange the necessary documents and check if you're due a tax refund.
All you need to do is:
Register and follow the simple instructions
Complete the online questionnaire
Enter your unique code: F25DEN400 in the box on the 'Review your order' page (This code only covers the cost of the federal tax preparation. State tax preparation will be at an additional cost to you.)
Sprintax will prepare your federal tax return
Print, sign, and mail your completed tax form and supporting documents to the address listed on the form (include copies of all tax documents used - W-2, 1099, 1042-S, etc.), or (if available) eFile directly via Sprintax. If physically mailing, please be sure to include all required documents, sign the documents requiring a signature, and mail your forms to the correct address.
