After the match ends on December 31, you will have two-four weeks to submit your post-match report and documentation to JustFund. You will need to attach your Cover Sheet and attachments for donations
Cover Sheet: Donor name, date, and gift amount for every donation to be matched
Proof of donation for every donation to be matched
What counts as proof of donation? If it was an online donation, it’s super easy. Just export an Excel or CSV file from your online donation processor, like ActBlue, PayPal or Stripe. That’s all. For offline gifts, submit copies of checks.
Our grants administrators at JustFund will send you an email requesting these two attachments. Once you submit your documentation and Cover Sheet, your matching grants should hit your accounts within two weeks.
Donations of up to $1,000 sent to participating nonprofit organizations are eligible to be matched by DPP, while DPP runs a national public awareness campaign about the role of state-based power building organizations. Participants then report their results to DPP in January, and DPP pays out matching funds up to $10,000 per organization in February-March.
We anticipate growing the 2022 Matching Fund to $300K. The Fund is managed by the Democratizing Philanthropy team and board of directors. The DPP Executive Director leads a yearly budget development process and maintains communication with donors and The Amalgamated Foundation as needed to monitor investment returns, payments, and balance. Note that The Amalgamated Foundation retains a 3% fee for its management services.
