Third and Fourth
Grade Music
Students learn musical concepts through singing, listening, creating, improvising, and moving to music. Children's books, manipulatives, singing games, cultural folk dances and a variety of instruments (including pitched & unpitched percussion) are incorporated into music class to develop students:
Accurate rhythmic reading skills,
Accurate singing skills,
Beginning improvisational and composition skills; and
Sensitivity to the expressive qualities in music.
