India is an emerging superpower, so more countries want to invest in and make relations with India for the betterment of communication to strengthen its political, official and diplomatic ties. For this communication, we as architects need to design embassies whose general function is to host diplomatic relations. The function of an embassy is to transmit messages of its home government to the government of the host country. Embassies have always been regarded as serious and secretive places for maintaining diplomatic relations. But they have never been seen before as places to enjoy the culture of the other nation and learn about them in our own. The author of the project tries to visualize embassies as places of knowledge along with the serious character they hold. They shall not be scaring one away but rather welcoming for the public in a good way to encourage international relations. The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page -anonymous To experience the world as a whole we shall try to experience and welcome new countries and learn about them, also, to open our hearts to the new countries it is important that we know about them. With so many people moving out to study/settle, it is very important for us to have a “knowledge center” – an architectural type of a place where we can indulge into the culture of the country and know about it physically by its own people who want to promote their businesses and lifestyle. This project is about designing the embassy of Ukraine and along with, a knowledge center depicting the embassy of Ukraine. The Thesis focuses on creating Embassy and also gain knowledge of the other countries culture while of course maintaining the important security protocols. Therefore, This thesis project defines spaces both for the diplomatic relations and the knowledge centre, where the three most important factors of relation between India and Ukraine that are trade, tourism and education shall be openly exhibited and shall be welcoming for the public to indulge in them.. Integrated Hub- The New Urban
Integrated Hub refers to a place where everything is integrated at one place , it is basically a mix use development where all the activities are planned and organized under the same roof , more over it is also kept in mind the people should live at the place where they work and should have minimum travelling time .and are able to fulfill all of their needs and at the same place . This is the new form of Urban , to control urban stress. Integrated Hub is a type of urban development that blends residential, commercial, cultural, institutional, or entertainment uses, where those functions are physically and functionally integrated, and that provides pedestrian connections. It can take the form of a single building, a city block, or entire neighbourhood. The term may also be used more specifically to refer to a mixed-use real estate development project—a building, complex of buildings, or district of a town or city that is developed for mixed-use by a private developer or a government agency or a combination of both. First of all , as the population of India is growing at a very fast rate . we as a whole should understand that , we have very less resources which we are consuming in such a manner that it will get depleted soon. As we know that Noida is metropolitan city , which has education as well as IT hub on a sprawl. But People work somewhere and live far away from the office and entertainment centers , which ultimately create urban stress . To reduce this stress , the best way is to minimize the travel distance of the people and give them all at one place. Moreover , a lot of surveys have revealed that , commercial centers alone are not as successful now as they were used to . According to reports , out of total 260 shopping malls in India , only 70 malls are successful . which means that there is need to change and , people are expecting more at one place . AIM • To increase the efficiency of commercial land by making it multifunctional . • To make a pedestrian friendly hub and to the curb the pollution . • To make the Indian shopping malls successful, by adding other used to the commercial landuse • To make an urban village which is self sustained .
