As we all are aware, our built environment is in a constant state of destabilization by changing environments, influences, and functions. In a landscape where architecture is often pushed to sublimate into other types of creative practices, permanence in architecture is no longer something that can be taken for granted. We confront this question and hence prepare our students to approach their thesis by constructing and deconstructing the built environment.

The thesis projects exhibited here are conducted in the context of the betterment of the built environment.

The launch of Architecture Thesis website is a multitude if Architectural Thesis done by the students of School of Architecture under the guidance of faculties.

I extend my appreciation to the hard work of all students and faculties for their valuable contribution in the field architecture.

The idea was to capture the new generation’s fresh energy in the form of their thesis work. Also, to pulse new ideas of next generation and take you across the excitement and dreams they have for our country exhibited in the form of their thesis. School of architecture, DTC promotes the first Architectural Thesis Collection website, launched with the aim of promoting, rewarding, and giving visibility to young talents in architecture.

School of Architecture, Delhi Technical Campus is pleased to announce ‘2020 Student Thesis Showcase’ , an online exhibition by the 2020 B.Arch Thesis batch. coordinated by Professor Ar. Charu Jain under the supervision of HOD, School of Architecture Ar. Tanya Gupta. The website showcases works of around 50 five students.

An Architectural Thesis consists of projects that explains a creative systematic activity which is taken forward in a way to expand the quality of knowledge. It is a process of actions used to gather and examine information to enhance our level of understanding of a specific topic or issue. Architecture is an art full of creativity always. The mind of an architect can touch the heights of skies like high towers. We at SOA, DTC are showcasing the best we have through the website for compendia "Thesis Compilation of the batch -- ". It is a multitude of thesis conducted by the students of School of Architecture under the guidance of faculties. I extend my appreciation to the hard work of all students and faculties for their valuable contribution in the field of Architecture knowledge. With great pleasure I greet every reader on behalf of our School of Architecture at Delhi Technical Campus.

The thesis website is the first of its kind at the SOA. Thesis was conducted by students as part of their curriculum in the final semester. Their work has been assimilated and compiled by the faculty of the SOA. I am glad to see the SOA endeavouring to be one of the best institutes of Architecture in the NCR and wish the SOA good luck on their ambitious new venture, ‘The Thesis website’.

As part of the course curriculum thesis projects are significant courses that inculcate in students the importance of protecting the built environment by involving the procedures for design, project requirements, project executions and thus importance of a systematic approach to documentation.

Have you ever wondered what students design in architecture school? We have started a website to showcase Thesis of 2020 batch to curate student work from latest batch of School of Architecture, DTC. Now, we have nearly 50 projects featured for you to view. In this series, we are featuring thesis projects of recent graduates to give you a glimpse into what architecture students create while in school. The projects have been curated in a way that they highlight unique aspects of design. In this collection, the thesis work ranges from urban scale designs focused on climate change to a proposal for building scale projects and so much in between. The thesis compendia of the current batch of Architecture, Delhi Technical Campus, Greater Noida who took subjects related to the present day needs of Architecture and future challenges involved in creating “The Built Environment’’ for the fast-changing global world. This shall create a platform of expanding their horizons for Research oriented Thesis with enhanced drawing abilities for attaining the sought goals.

2020 B.Arch thesis were guided by the following faculties Ar. Sushma Garg, Ar. Abhinav Gupta, Ar. Seema Sharma-----------etc. and were later curated by Ar. Swati Punyal and Ar. Samreen Sultan, faculty at SOA.

In this set of theses, the research ranges from urban scale designs focused on climate change to a proposal for sustainable building design, landscape and technological advancement looking at futuristic design construction built. check out our website for new projects!
