Pre-Season Team Party

We’re excited to host a fun event for our athletes and families on Thursday, August 7, from 5:30–8:00 PM at Smith Park (South Shelter). You can find the shelter location on the attached map. We are hoping to have access to a baseball diamond for kickball, but if not, Coach Kuno and I will figure out plan B for games.

This will be a great way to connect before the season officially kicks off. There will be no practice that day - just food, fun, and a little friendly competition!

To keep things simple, please bring a dish to share based on your family’s last name:

• A–M: Bring a main dish 

• N–Z: Bring a side and/or dessert

We could also use a few volunteers to bring bulk packs of plates, forks, and bottled water. Let me know if you’re able to help with that!

Under the Lights Mile - Mandatory Event - arrive by 6:15

Come test your fitness with the Pacers Cross Country teams! Saturday, August 16th starting at 6pm. 400 meter and 800 meter youth races and 1 mile adult races, open to all! Race on the Hayes High School track and stay to cheer on the Dempsey Pacers Middle School Cross Country Team and the Hayes Cross Country Team. End the evening with an elite race with some of central Ohio's best athletes. Registration is free!

- 6:10pm - Youth 800m
- 6:25pm - Adult 1600m
- 6:45pm - Dempsey MS Girls 1600m
- 7:00pm - Dempsey MS Boys 1600
- 7:10pm - Hayes HS Girls 3200m
-7:25pm - Hayes HS Boys 3200m
- 7:45pm - Elite race

Course Clean-up 

We need all the help we can get to get the Dempsey XC course ready to compete on. Part of our race runs through the wetlands behind Dempsey and will need to be cleared and marked before our first dual meet. If you would like to help with this massive task we would greatly appreciate it. Feel free to bring yard tools to help clear brush and cut back trees. Dates for course clean-up is below and volunteers can sign up on the home page.

Team Pasta Party

We will celebrate the team with a pasta party on October 3rd. Time and location TBD. We are looking for anyone who might be interested in being the hosting home. We are also looking into alternative locations since it would be a large group.
