Aquaponics

Aquaponics is the combination of raising fish (aquaculture) and growing plants without soil (hydroponics) in one integrated system. Aquaponics is an environmentally responsible system with low water usage and low power usage. It can be accomplished in any area, lending it to sustainable food production in areas of poor climate or in busy cities. The primary inputs to the system are fish food and water with little or no chemical usage. Plants and fish are grown in healthy conditions with low susceptibility to pests and disease.
