Still undecided about what you to do after graduation? That's totally okay and normal. The counseling department is hosting a post-secondary options fair on Thursday, March 20th during BDT in the gym. All seniors will receive a pass in 5-star with their time to attend. It's not too late to apply to college, join the military, take a gap year, or look for employment.

The Senior Breakfast is on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the CHS Cafe and Cafe Patio from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM. The Flying Biscuit Cafe will cater the event. Vegetarian options are available in limited quantities. Seniors will check in with their 1st-period class and wait until their class is dismissed to the CHS Cafe. No students should go straight to the CHS Cafe. PM Duel Enrollment students (who are not normally on campus in the mornings) should check in using the QR code at the front desk and then come to the Cafe line. We will not begin serving breakfast until after 8:30 AM. Stay tuned for an alternate morning schedule for Seniors.
Seniors voted for the Senior 2025 T-shirt Design. Here is the winning design: Senior Gingham. It is a two-sided, three-color, and four-color design on a navy blue T-shirt. Almost half of our Senior Class of 2025 participated in the voting using our new 5 Start Student App.

Q: I can't find my student's Senior Class Dues on MySchoolBucks.A. We know this is not working seamlessly, as of right now. This fix must also come from the District. You can also pay $225.00 dues by cash or check payable to Chamblee High School and in the FOR put your student's name and Senior Dues.
Q: I do see 11th Grade Senior Dues. A. We know this is not working seamlessly. This issue seems to be a glitch in the assignment of your student's grade level. We have submitted technology trouble tickets to the district so that MySchoolBucks grade levels match Infinite Campus Grade Levels. This fix must also come from the District. As of right now, you can also pay $225.00 dues by cash or check payable to Chamblee High School and in the FOR put your student's name and Senior Dues.
Q: I understand that we will not receive the prom or graduation dates until next year. A. True. We usually find out between February and Spring Break.
Q: Is there a reason why this information is so late? A. The District sets graduation dates for all of our district's high schools. There are usually 3 to 4 ceremonies per day and it takes about 7 days to host them all. We held ours at Georgia State's Convocation Center the past two years.
Q: I saw that Decatur High School has posted their prom and graduation dates, and they are also using GA State Convocation Center. A. Decatur High School is in City Schools of Decatur, which has one and only one high school. City Schools of Decatur is a different school district than DCSD. Even though both are in Dekalb County, GA they are not the same. DCSD has over 25 high schools. We are a lot larger than City Schools of Decatur. City Schools of Decatur can secure a contract a lot quicker than DCSD can since they only need one date and one time for their one graduation ceremony, while DCSD needs a full week and 3 to 4 ceremonies per day.
Q: Is there a possibility we can know the graduation date sooner? Or at least this year… A. The Senior Sponsors relay graduation date, time, and location information as soon as the district tells us the information. We would like the information sooner rather than later as well. We usually find out between February and Spring Break.
Speak to your Senior Council Members or your senior co-sponsors for ideas you may have for the Class of 2025. We hope to make the Class of 2025's experience the best ever.

The Seniors wanted a Senior Sunrise
So we made it happen. August 18, 2023 from 6:30 AM until 7:30 AM.
We served up some donuts and hung out while the sun rose.

Many thanks to Baylor, a junior at CHS, for reaching out to his friends at Paul Duke STEM High School Drone Racing Team in Norcross. The drone footage is awesome. The Drone Team navigated around a mysterious force field caused by the fence, in the pre-sunrise dark to capture this footage.
CADY Photographers are coming to Chamblee High School on July 29th. YOU MUSY SCHEDULE ahead of time. On July 29th seniors will take their yearbook pictures.
After processing, sample pictures called "proofs" are sent to seniors and their adults. From the proofs, the seniors and their adults will buy pictures that they picked from different packages of portraits using different backgrounds, props, and outfits. Cap & Gown portraits are also taken on July 29th but usually aren't delivered until Spring.
*Note: You are free to hire a different photographer than CADY for any professional photo shoot, buy the Chamblee High School Yearbook only uses CADY's senior portraits. This is true no matter how "good" your senior portraits look, or how much you paid privately.
