Perfect Puzzlers is an afterschool group led by our Occupational Therapist Dr. Speaks-Douthit that will encourage academic success by strengthening the skills that reading, writing and math are built on!
Students will engage in activities and games including puzzles, mazes, building activities, drawing and copying designs, sorting and memory games. The focus will be on enhancing students’ ability to make sense of and use the information they take in through their eyes. Perfect puzzlers will target all aspects of visual perception including visual memory, visual spatial relationships, figure ground, visual closure and form constancy in a relaxed and social after school group!

This club is specifically designed to send winning projects to the Dekalb County Technology Fair in January (date TBD). We'll explore the various categories of the fair, and experiment with video production, animation. game design, robotics, graphic design, drones, etc. The final sessions will give the kids ample time to develop and work on their own projects for entry into the Tech Fair.

Introductory Spanish class for Pre-K or Kindergarten children focused on learning basic numbers, colors, and vocabulary through fun, interactive methods such as songs, games, and hands-on activities.

Welcome to the world of theatre! Ignite your child's confidence, creativity, and teamwork with Spotlight Seekers! Participants will engage in imaginative games, improv, scene-work, and character building. At the end of the 10 weeks, families are invited to watch a mini showcase where students shine and share what they've learned. No auditions, no pressure, just fun!

Learn how to create Zentangles—beautiful drawings made from repeating patterns—and explore the flowing lines and colors of Neurographic Art! These creative styles not only help boost imagination and make amazing works of art, but they also support handwriting and fine motor control as students learn and become experts in cursive. Additionally, these art styles support a calm and focused mindset. Let’s doodle, relax, and turn our thoughts into art!
