Being an advocate for student data privacy is essential to the role of library media specialists and libraries within the school environment. Not only are we responsible for keeping student data secure within our systems, but we are responsible for teaching students and families how to manage their own data and privacy concerns. Digital Wellness curriculum may be led out by the library media specialist, but is ultimately the responsibility of all teaching staff and families.
