This Girl Can Week 2024
This campaign aims to celebrate activity, challenge gender stereotypes and inspire more women to be active. As part of our campaign, the Creative Faculty would like to invite your child to take part in our This Girl Can activities. Activities are open to male and female students and staff.
When? Our This Girl Can activities will take place during PE lessons and after-school from Monday 10th June- Friday 14h June for both male and female students.
What? Each Tutor Time, your child will have the opportunity to listen to the experiences of a male Nurse, female Engineer and female Rugby player. Your child will also have the opportunity to ask our guest speakers questions around their career experiences. Your child will take part in a Netball skills circuit in their PE lessons. Your child will also develop their knowledge of female artists, musicians and actresses in their Art, Music and Drama lessons.

This Girl Can is doing just that. Challenging stereotypes, changing perceptions and offering new experiences. For these reasons, all activities are open to male and female students. We believe that male and female students should have access to the same sporting opportunities during PE lessons and extra-curricular activities.
