La Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica “Diego Velázquez” is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese AATSP. The mission of the National Spanish Honor Society is to recognize high school achievement in Spanish and to promote interest in Hispanic studies and culture. All members will have the opportunity to experience leadership by serving as officers, tutors, and by participating in various cultural events and activities that include fundraisers and community service. Students who are admitted into the National Spanish Honor Society and remain active members, will receive a special honor cord acknowledging their participation, at graduation.
