As one of Deer Creek PSO's biggest annual fundraisers, the Jog-a-Thon is a student favorite and highly anticipated tradition at Deer Creek! On Thursday, October 9, students will walk or jog laps on the field in a fun, celebratory environment. Surrounding the event, from October 3-17, students are encouraged to ask friends and family for support to reach our school goal of $20,000, or roughly $50 per student. Participation is completely voluntary.
FUNDRAISING
Our "Running of the Bucks" Jog-a-Thon campaign starts October 3 and ends on October 17. Students will come home with an informational flyer and collection envelope (for cash/checks), although we strongly encourage online donations through our FundHub website. You can create a personal fundraising page for your student or your family (if you have multiple students) and send it to friends and family through email or social media! Participation is completely optional. Money raised goes toward library books, field trips, classroom celebrations, community events, staff appreciation, teacher needs, equipment upgrades, learning resources, and more!
If we meet our fundraising goal, students will have chances to earn some awesome rewards at the individual, class and school-wide level! For example, When the school reaches 100% of our fundraising goal ($20K), we will have A SPECIAL ASSEMBLY! When we reach 75% of our goal, everyone earns popcorn at lunch, and when we hit 50%, we will earn a special PJ DAY! In addition, classes and students can earn prizes based on the highest % participation as well as highest $ and # of donations. Let's go Bucks!
