In his final paper, Jad Moawad addressed four main objections. One of the objections is that women earn less because they attract less attention and therefore less money. This can be rebuked by the fact that women entered the sports scene much later. Another common argument is “...Choosing to tax men’s league in sports is arbitrary.” However, so much money changes hands in the sports industry, showing how important it is to the global economy. Furthermore, women have been disadvantaged, and have demanded equality for many decades, showing how they have felt discriminated against (Moawad 28-53).
Moawad also brought up the objections of a loss of excellence, and the unimportance of sports gender inequality, which can be argued against by noting that gender quotas could be used to encourage equal numbers in sports, and that humans have always found all sports significant (Moawad 28-53).
