AUDITION INFORMATION
Complete the simple steps below!
Step 1: FILL OUT THE AUDITION FORM HERE
Please answer all questions honestly and with an open mind. Please be sure to take a few minutes to look through and think about your winter schedule. This form should be filled out BEFORE you audition.
STEP 2: SIGN-UP FOR AN AUDITION TIME HERE
Monday, September 22 (5:00 - 8:00)
Thursday, September 25 (3:30 - 6:00)
Friday, September 26 (3:30 - 6:00)
Fifteen-minute auditions will take place in self-established groups of SIX. Use your first and last name. Sign up for an audition time that best fits your group. Arrive at least 15 minutes early outside of the library ready to impress the coaches. (Note: There are three tabs on the sign-up sheet for each audition day. Make sure you are signing up on the correct day.) If you can't find a group, sign up with a group that isn't filled or sign up alone and others can sign up with you.
*Students that are auditioning for large group and/or solo musical theater may do that portion of the audition in person or through a recording. More details are provided in the audition materials.
STEP 3: PREPARE THE AUDITION MATERIALS HERE
Please select and prepare ALL portions of the scripts following the instructions. You are not required to have them memorized, so work with your group to select and print them if you so choose. (Note: The coaches will not be printing scripts for you.) Take the experience for what it is: a chance to perform, an opportunity to be creative with your team of six, and put your best foot forward!
STEP 4: PATIENTLY WAIT :)
We will take into consideration your schedule and where we believe you will be the strongest team member based on what we saw in auditions. We ask you to be patient and know that careful planning, like a good rehearsal, will help our team be the best we can be. Cast lists will be posted in early October.
STEP 5: WHEN THE CAST LISTS ARE POSTED, CLEAR YOUR CALENDARS
Specific rehearsal calendars will be posted at the same time cast lists are posted. Please look at the season schedule carefully and clear your schedule accordingly. Please refer to the attendance policy as well. You will be asked to accept your role(s). If you choose not to accept the assigned roles, you will NOT be placed into another category.
Recording categories like Short Film, Radio Broadcasting, and TV News will start meeting/recording as early as October.
Live categories will typically start practicing at the end of November/early December.
Individual speech will typically not start meeting until late December at the earliest.
