How can I get involved?
Contact our stage manager, Nathan Rhodes, about being on the crew!
Attendance Policy:
Absences from rehearsals should be due to things like illness and are a last resort. You’re expected to make adjustments to your calendar to attend rehearsal.
We simply don’t have flexibility with rehearsal times. Absences may result in directors needing to make decisions about your role in the show.
If you must miss a rehearsal:
Tell Mr. Rausch or KT as soon as possible. Do not tell us through another student
What is the conflict? Be specific.
Is there flexibility around the conflict?
Is it excusable?
If it involves another school activity, have you talked with the coach or given us time to help resolve the issue?
Are you considering the needs of the ensemble equitably with your conflict?
If we reach out to you, please respond in a timely fashion.
Commitment Contract:
I will carefully review my calendar and report any activities and commitments that cannot be rescheduled at the time of my audition.
I will commit to the rehearsal calendar once published, and I will communicate proactively with Mr. Rausch and KT if issues arise that I need help resolving.
I will attend all assigned rehearsals, unless absences are due to previously stated conflicts (such as school activities).
I will attend all tech week and dress rehearsals, as well as full-day rehearsals as scheduled.
I understand directors need to make decisions based on how active I am in other activities, and I will respect those decisions.
I will follow the Decorah School District's code of conduct and meet academic requirements.
I acknowledge being part of the fall production:
Involves commitment to both myself and the ensemble.
Requires discipline and focus: I will be on time, prepared, and give/do my best at every rehearsal.
Requires prioritizing rehearsals and performances over non-school activities (dance classes, work, other theatrical productions/shows).
Is a group effort and dedicated time outside of rehearsal is needed to memorize lines and music and practice on my own.
Obligates me to cooperate with and be supportive of the entire cast and crew.
