We're looking for more parent help
Dues cover access to materials, software, shop tools, team shirts, and much more for one school year. Student dues do not include travel expenses. Unlike other clubs and sports, Decatur Robotics receives little funding from the school district. Dues are subsidized by Decatur Robotics through sponsors, grants, fundraisers, and donations. It costs over $1,200 per student to keep this program going. This amount increases in seasons where they advance to the FIRST World Championship in Houston, TX.
Families are asked to pay a travel fee per trip their student attends. This usually runs about $150-200Â and includes transportation, room, and meals. Our hope is to bring costs down with donations, sponsorships, and grants.

2023-24 Team Fees are due by January 6th. Travel fee due dates vary per trip and are communicated via email and with students directly at each meeting. Students must be in good standing to attend tournaments.
No team member will be denied participation due to an inability to pay dues or travel fees. The team seeks funding from sponsors and through fundraisers to provide scholarships for students in need. Please email admin@decaturrobotics.org to request a scholarship.
