We attended an annual 2 day off-season event in October 2023 called GRITS (Georgia Robotics Invitational Tournament & Showcase). Teams compete in last season's game. We competed in a field of 38 teams from across Georgia and South Carolina to secure a spot in the playoffs where we earned a 3rd place finish. Congratulations to the entire team!

The team finished in 3rd place and was the captain of the 2nd Alliance. The team also competed for the Impact Award, the most prestigious award at FIRST.

What is the Impact Award?

The team visited Walton High School's Destination Einstein (DE) field for a day of practice on a full field with a few other teams.

This was the first event of the 2023 season. The team finished in 13th place and was the captain of the 8th Alliance. The team also competed for the Impact Award, the most prestigious award at FIRST.

What is the Impact Award?

The team traveled to Georgia Tech January 7th, 2023 to watch the kickoff for this season's game, Charged Up. The event was hosted by Georgia Tech's RoboJackets. We have more alumni on that team than we can count, including their current president. It was exciting to see alumni of our team leading workshops. We returned to our build space at DHS for lunch and hours of planning.

The team was in Gainesville for GRITS in October 2022. The robot performed well throughout qualifiers and we finished in 8th place going into the finals. We were the 5th seed alliance captain. Unfortunately, the sun coming through the skylights took us out in round 3 of our quarterfinal match. We lost by 3 points. In the end, we learned a lot and are really looking forward to the new season in January.
