Physical and Chemical Properties

Learning Goals:

By the end of today's lesson I will...

• Be able to describe physical properties of a substance (lustre, malleability, ductility, etc.)

• Be able to recognize a physical change (change of state, etc.)

• Understand that a physical change does NOT change the chemical composition of a substance

• Be able to recognize a chemical change (change in colour, smell, formation of bubbles, etc.) and understand that a chemical change constitutes a change in the chemical composition of a substance
