Burns Night
As we missed out on this due to the storm, here’s a little poem to cheer you up from 1D3.
Rabbie’s Journey
In Scotland, the land
Of mountains and rain
A poet wrote of
Love and pain.
Come sun or frost,
Deep in thought
He got lost,
Rhymes of lovers
and thistles,
making good folk whistle.
And with his pen, and a view
Of the highlands…..
He made his own
incredible island.

Computers in CDT
Lately, we’ve had some issues with equipment being stolen or damaged, as well as computers being unplugged or moved around the room. These actions affect everyone’s learning experience. To prevent this, we’ve introduced some new steps to keep things safe and running smoothly:
• Seating plans for all classes.
• Regular checks of equipment by teachers.
• You’ll be asked to check your equipment at the start of each period to make sure everything is in place and undamaged.
It’s important to know that the local authority IT Department tracks who logs into each computer, and this information is time-stamped.
Why This Matters: We need everyone to take responsibility for looking after the equipment. When we respect the space and resources, we all benefit from a positive environment where technology is ready to help with lessons, projects, and even fun activities. Taking care of our equipment isn’t just about following rules—it’s about creating a space where everyone feels proud and valued, knowing they’re contributing to something bigger. Let’s work together to keep things running smoothly!

Prayer to St. Marcellin Champagnat
Saint Marcellin, through faith you accomplished what many
thought was impossible. Help me to deepen my own faith
so that my relationship with the Lord will always be an
essential part of my life.
Help me to listen for God’s voice in my own life

and my love of the Lord with those making the Encounter.
Like you, Marcellin, I place my trust in the Lord and in Mary,
our Good Mother. Amen.

Anne Frank Day – 12th June
Today is Anne Frank Day so make sure to say “Happy Anne Frank day” whenever you pass by someone😉.
Do you know Anne Frank’s important story?
For all of you that don’t know or remember who she is, Anne Frank was a girl who lived during WW2 and was in hiding as she was Jewish. Jews were a highly targeted group of people at the time. Jews were banned from many things after the Nazis took over. Anne had to then leave her home and lived in hiding in Amsterdam with her family, the Van Pels family (who was close to Anne's family) and Fritz Pfeffer (a dentist). For over 2 years, the annex occupants had to be silent during the day while the workers were in the building. Eventually they were all found and caught by the Nazis. Anne later died of Typhus fever in a concentration camp, only her dad, Otto Frank survived the war and published Anne’s diary as she wished, continuing Anne’s legacy.
To respect this day, we ask you to discuss as a Tutor Class how might you feel if you had to hide in utter silence and banned from doing everyday things like Anne, when she was in hiding. Would you fight back and protest? If so, why?
Please complete this form. There will be a class prize for the most interesting response. https://forms.office.com/e/VHXQeyJTme?origin=lprLink
